Dear Steven,
I am writing to apologise for my rather rude emails accusing Savemylight of selling used items that do not work and the negative review I left on Google in anger.
I called a local electrician to check my light fitting after receiving David’s email. Not only did he find a fault with the light fitting, I had mistakenly wired the product incorrectly as well.
Suffice to say after spending £60.00 on an electrician’s callout the electrician correctly installed the product and removed the wrong halogen wattage bulbs I had used (which caused the first transformer to fail).
I made a mistake and was far too quick to accuse you of selling me a used item.
I have removed the negative review and apologise for any offence caused.
Regards
Mr Sam Boyd
RESPONSE
Dear Mr Boyd,
Not many people would have the honesty to send the below email nor actually apologise.
You are not the first person and you will not be the last. Everyday someone accuses us of doing something when the light fitting does not work. This is because in the current economic climate customers try and DIY fit themselves to save costs calling an electrician.
I am pleased the light fitting is now working.
Steve
